SAN FRANCISCO, CA – January 13, 2026 — Parade, the leading AI-powered capacity management platform for freight brokers, today announced Syndication API v2—the freight industry's first AI-native distribution protocol. The release enables freight to be discovered and booked through partner implementations of the protocol on AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini, while introducing a comprehensive security assessment framework that brings transparency and accountability to the syndication partner ecosystem.

The new API also enables a fundamental shift in freight procurement: system-to-system negotiation, where broker and carrier automation platforms can exchange quotes, counter-offers, and confirmations programmatically—executing transactions at machine speed.

"We're seeing two forces reshape freight at the same time," said Anthony Sutardja, CEO of Parade. "Fraud and carrier impersonation are at all-time highs, while AI capabilities are being democratized faster than anyone anticipated. Carriers are already using ChatGPT and Gemini to run their businesses. AI agents are calling brokers. The question isn't whether freight moves to AI-native infrastructure—it's who builds it. We're building it."

AI-Native: Model Context Protocol Support

Syndication API v2 is the first freight distribution platform built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the open standard adopted by ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. MCP provides the foundation for partners to build AI-native carrier experiences—enabling freight discovery and booking through the AI assistants carriers are increasingly using to run their businesses.

With MCP support, certified partners can build interfaces where carriers:

  • Search available freight using natural language: "Find me reefer loads from Phoenix paying over $2.50/mile"

  • Filter by equipment, lane, rate, and timing requirements

  • Submit quotes and initiate booking workflows directly through conversation

As AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini continue to expand their integration capabilities, Parade's MCP-native architecture positions partners to deliver these experiences as they become available.

"Our partners continue to deliver excellent carrier experiences, and that's not changing," said Sutardja. "But the ways carriers plan and find freight are evolving with the democratization of AI. We're giving our partners the infrastructure to meet carriers wherever they're doing work—whether that's a traditional load board or a conversation with an AI assistant."

Security Assessment Framework: Trust Through Transparency

With fraud and carrier impersonation at record levels, brokers need assurance that their freight data—and the carriers accessing it—are protected at every touchpoint.

Syndication API v2 requires all syndication partners to complete security assessments and audits, which are disclosed to brokers:

  • Partner Security Assessment & Audit: All syndication partners undergo security assessment and audit. Results are disclosed to broker customers, providing transparency into each partner's security posture and carrier verification capabilities.

  • Carrier Integrity Attestation: Partners attest to carrier interactions through device, authentication, session, location, and equipment signals—enabling Parade to build trust profiles across the ecosystem without requiring direct carrier relationships.

  • Broker Visibility & Control: Assessment results are visible to brokers, enabling informed decisions about which partners receive their freight.

System-to-System Negotiation: The End of AI Phone Tag

A breakthrough capability of v2 is enabling programmatic negotiation between systems. As AI agents increasingly handle carrier communications—including voice calls—the industry needs a structured alternative to AI-to-AI phone conversations.

The bi-directional API allows carrier systems to submit quotes, receive counter-offers, and confirm bookings programmatically. This opens the door to a new era of freight procurement where broker automation systems and carrier automation systems negotiate directly, executing transactions at machine speed while respecting the business rules each party has configured.

Human oversight remains available, but routine transactions can flow automatically when parameters align.

Carrier Integrity Protocol: Trust at Machine Speed

Automated negotiation only works if you can trust who's on the other side. The Carrier Integrity Protocol provides real-time validation for every bid and booking by requiring partners to attest to carrier interactions:

  • Device attestation: Recognizing consistent devices over time to detect account takeovers or impersonation

  • Authentication attestation: Verification of how and when the partner authenticated the carrier

  • Session attestation: Proof the request originated from a legitimate user session

  • Location attestation: Driver location signals to validate geographic plausibility

  • Equipment attestation: Verification of equipment availability for capacity validation

These attestations travel with every API request, enabling Parade to build trust profiles across the ecosystem. A carrier with consistent attestation history across multiple partners gets streamlined treatment. A carrier showing anomalous patterns—new device, impossible geography, unusual velocity—gets flagged before the transaction completes.

"System-to-system negotiation at machine speed requires machine-speed trust validation," said Tony Wu, CTO of Parade. "The Carrier Integrity Protocol is what makes it safe. Every bid carries attestation signals. Every booking is validated in real-time."

One API Standard with Real-Time Capabilities

Syndication API v2 introduces a single, standardized specification with real-time capabilities that all certified partners must implement:

  • Unified Data Schema: Consistent load, rate, and carrier data structures across all distribution channels

  • Standard Authentication: Partner-provisioned tokens with scoped permissions for all integrations

  • Consistent Configuration: Brokers configure how they want to post, what data they share, and how carriers contact them—once—and it applies consistently across every syndication partner

  • Real-Time Webhooks: Event-driven notifications replace polling—load availability, rate changes, and booking status propagate in sub-second timeframes

  • Bi-Directional Communication: Partners can push carrier responses, quotes, and booking confirmations back through the same API

Fine-Grain Broker Control

Syndication API v2 maintains the broker distribution controls that Parade customers rely on today—customer-level channel toggles, rate visibility rules, geographic restrictions, and real-time override capabilities—while extending them across the new standardized partner ecosystem.

Certified Partner Program

Load boards, marketplaces, and technology platforms seeking access to Syndication API v2 must complete Parade's Certified Partner Program, which includes:

  • Security assessment and audit (results disclosed to broker customers)

  • API specification compliance testing

  • Carrier Integrity Protocol implementation (attestation capabilities)

  • Commercial agreement with data handling provisions

Partners that complete certification gain access to comprehensive documentation, sandbox environments, and dedicated technical support. Partners implementing full attestation capabilities receive higher assessment scores, resulting in preferential automation treatment for their carriers.

Availability

Syndication API v2 is now available in Preview. General availability will roll out in Q1 2026 as Parade works directly with certified integration partners on certification and transition timelines.
